Missing History (His-Story)

Growing up I've always had a interest in what many would call black history. To me I thought it should be called WORLD history because the missing piece to history is in fact the history of African civilizations. I always knew growing up that something wasn't right in history class probably because the teacher was only telling his-story. The public school system would never teach the world our story which in fact is all of humanity's history! In school all we ever learned about where people like Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and rarely you would hear someone do a report on Malcolm-X only to recieve a lot of criticism. Most people believe that Malcolm was racist when all he was simply saying is that until black people can have equal rights in America why deal with the white man who wants you to come in the back door of his shops? So growing up my mind was always intrigued by history because for me it didn't take rocket science to figure out that something was seriously wrong with history. It wasn't until after I graduated and started looking deeper into history that I found that everything that I had been taught was a straight up lie! I had never before heard the term Moor, I had never learned anything about the Moors who conquered and controlled Europe from 711A.D. to 1492A.D. I never once heard of any of this until after I was out of school, how amazing is that? I first came into knowledge of what I like to call the missing parts of world history by simply looking up "untold African history" in google. Upon doing this a man named Ivan Van Sertima popped up and I saw that he had wrote numerous books on the achievements of the "black" race, so I started looking at some of the lectures that he had done and the more I listened the more I wanted to learn. I began taking notes of what he was saying, started doing more research on my own and I started seeing how our history had been covered up purposely, this really made me angry at first because I had NO IDEA that the Egyptians where black. Even though the country is in Africa I had been taught that they were white people just like the Greeks, and Romans, I didn't even know that the Greeks had went to Egypt to study, I had never heard any of this information before stunned by all the information I was learning I needed to validate it for myself so I began doing more research on African history only to continue finding more, and more information and seeing how everything that had anything to do with achievements made by ancient "blacks" was just being covered up and erased! It really shocked me but it definitely opened my eyes I would recommend anyone, and everyone to do some research on the works of Dr. Ivan Van Sertima who I credit a lot with changing my life because it was FIRST through his lectures and various articles that he had wrote that really I began to question eveything I had ever learned. He wrote many books and I'm currently reading his book They Came before Columbus which tells of how Ancient Africans where sailing to the Americas long before Columbus ever thought about coming here. If you have never heard of Ivan Van Sertima before just look up him up on google you will see numerous books, and lectures just like I did, he was also a professor at Rutgers University. He isn't the first to make these claims but from his work it's sparked my mind to start doing more research and I will be doing more blogs on this subject very soon, start doing some research on the missing world history. ..truth is out there.
